SOTI XSight 2024.0.3 Is Now Available

We are pleased to announce the release of SOTI XSight 2024.0.3. In this maintenance release, we have added some new features and addressed some customer issues.

Important Notes About This Release

Customers upgrading to SOTI XSight 2024.0.3 will have charts relating to app data populated after the next scheduled data delivery is complete. The next scheduled data delivery corresponds to the frequency value set in SOTI XSight Data Collection Settings before the upgrade. 

Release Highlights

Live View – XT Sock App Security 

SOTI XSight Agents now authenticate all apps that deliver Live View data by validating their signatures. This ensures that only trusted applications can provide Live View data, which enhances security. Users must configure signatures for third-party apps when setting up custom or shared topics to maintain this secure environment. 

SOTI XSight Android Agent Proxy

SOTI XSight Android Agent can now be configured to communicate via a proxy server to services hosted outside of its network. SOTI XSight will now support deployments where the SOTI XSight Android Agent network requires outbound communication to route via a proxy server and is not on the same network as the SOTI XSight Agent Service.

Note: SOTI XSight Android Agent Proxy support does not extend to the SOTI XSight Chat Service Agent.  

Global Proxy

SOTI XSight can now be configured to communicate via a proxy server to external services hosted outside of its network. Deployments, where SOTI XSight services are hosted on networks that require outbound communication to route via a proxy server, are now supported. This allows communication with external services that support features such as maps on Operational Intelligence dashboards, device skins in Remote Control, and product licensing.

Note: Global Proxy support does not extend to the SOTI XSight Chat Service.  

Support for Unitech Smart Battery

Users can now track and manage Unitech smart battery devices on the SOTI XSight Smart Battery Dashboard.

Resizing Chat Call Window

Users can now resize the Chat Call window. This improves visibility and interactions during chat sessions.

Support for Android OS 6

SOTI XSight Android Agent support for Android OS 6 is re-established. However, it is important to note that the SOTI XSight Chat Service Agent does not support Android OS 6.

Note: When generating the SOTI XSight Agent for devices with Android OS 6, make sure to toggle off Include Chat Agent.
